Watermelon Granita and Prosecco

 

 

During the dog days of summer there is nothing better than a fresh fruit granita. But wait it gets better…add prosecco! The perfect adult drink on a warm summer evening! Nothing could be easier with this 3 ingredient recipe.

 

8 cups seedless watermelon  cubed
1/2 cup sugar
2 whole limes juiced

  • Place watermelon, sugar and lime juice in a blender.  Process until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a a metal or glass pan and place in freezer.
  • After 1 hour, remove pan from freezer.  Using a fork, scrape watermelon mixture.  Place back in freezer for 1 hour.
  • When granita is frozen, scrape with a fork, scoop into a chilled glass pour prosecco over it and serve. Enjoy!
